Mural Project
The Mural Project brings vibrant, large-scale artwork to public spaces throughout the Russian River area, transforming blank walls into colorful celebrations of community and creativity. River Arts partners with regional artists and, when possible, local school children, inviting young people to help design or paint portions of the murals. Their involvement fosters early artistic expression and deepens their connection to the place they call home.
Each new mural becomes a visual landmark, inviting residents and visitors alike to pause, look closer, and experience a sense of shared community. By supporting public art created with the community—both adults and youth—the project enriches everyday life, encourages collaboration, and strengthens the creative spirit that defines our Russian River towns.
