Downtown Window Art
The Downtown Window Painting Project brings a burst of creativity and seasonal charm to local Russian River storefronts, transforming everyday windows into vibrant works of art. River Arts partners with participating merchants to design and paint festive, eye-catching scenes that celebrate the holidays while highlighting the character of our community. These playful, colorful displays invite residents and visitors alike to slow down, explore, and experience downtown in a new and uplifting way.
Beyond the holiday season, the project continues throughout the year with rotating themes that reflect our region’s creativity and culture. By activating storefronts with original artwork, we help draw more foot traffic to local businesses, strengthen neighborhood identity, and create a welcoming, art-filled environment for all. It’s a simple gesture with a big impact—bringing joy, supporting small shops, and enriching the visual landscape of our downtown district.
